Programmers are truly plug and play in that all you need to do is plug them in to your OBDII port and the let the programmer guide you through the install process. No mechanic would be needed at all. An Insight like the CS2 part # EP84030 that you referenced is not required either. It could be used with a programmer that didn't come with any monitoring type displays but definitely not needed.
That said we do not have any programmers for your 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser that will give you additional... view full answer...
I reached out to my contact at Edge and he said that is typical of an older unit that is having technical issues. He recommended completely removing the unit and said your truck should start as normal. If that is the case, then the unit needs checked out and possibly repaired. If it won't start after removing the Edge tuner, then it is a mechanical issue that is unrelated to the tuner.
If removing the tuner solves your issue, then I recommend upgrading your tuner instead of repairing... view full answer...
I spoke with my contact at Edge about the Comp # EP30301 you said is installed on your Dodge 2500.
They told me that when pushing the button on the unit to power it up, if it is pressed too long it will put the unit in a sub-level for setup and all 5 lights will blink as you said is happening. view full answer...
Most likely you blew a fuse. Typically on a GMC Sierra of your generation the OBDII port shares a power circuit for the cigarette lighter/aux power circuit. Sometimes radio circuit as well. view full answer...
I wish we carried a programmer that would fit the Cummins engine you have in your motorhome but we don't since the wiring harnesses are different from the Dodge trucks.
I do have some tips that may help your motorhome perform at it's peak though.
Make sure both fuel filters are clean. There should be one on the frame and one on the engine.
Make sure the lift pump is in good working order, when they go out they tend to cause power loss.
Your crankshaft sensor could also need to be replaced. view full answer...
I have spoken with my contact at Superchips before regarding the exact issue you are having with your Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner # SU2845 on your 2004 GMC Sierra. He said that this can sometimes happen on trucks that have a remote start or aftermarket stereo installed. If this is the case on your truck, check the wires going back to the OBD-II port to see if there is anything spliced into the purple wire. If there is, go ahead and remove it.
If that doesn't work, also see if it sounds... view full answer...
I checked with SuperChips about the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner part # SU1845 for a 2018 Ford F150 with 5.0 Engine and was able to confirm that the speed limiter can be adjusted. I then looked in the owner's manual for you and found the exact steps needed to do so and I have attached these for you below. If you still find that the speed limiter is being enforced at a value different than the one you selected, you will need to uninstall the tune and repeat the process. Please... view full answer...
I would first check to see if there has been an update for your Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner - GM - Gas/Diesel, part # SU2845. If so, you should update your software. Once completed, try the tuning process again. According to Superchips, your battery will need slightly more than 12V of power, closer to 12.5V, to make changes to your tune. They recommend you charge your battery, hook it up to a charger, and then try and run the process. The extra power should help complete the... view full answer...
Yes, since you were using the Superchips Flashpaq F5 Performance Tuner - GM - Gas/Diesel, part # SU2845, you needed to reset your tuner to factory settings before you replaced the transmission on your 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe 4X4. When you replaced your transmission, the tune it was installed under is based upon whatever tune you were using for your previous transmission. But this tune is not based on the new transmission being integrated into your Chevrolet Tahoe's factory OEM settings. This... view full answer...
